Lytham Festival - Lytham Festival is the new name for Lytham Proms. In 2015 the newly named Lytham Festival is set to run from Monday 3rd August – Sunday 9th August.
Bringing together Lytham wide venues, the “Proms Arena” on the green will still play host to the traditional Proms event, with the exciting addition of the Thursday evening. Staying true to its heritage with picnics and Union Jacks, but not forgetting the ever popular, return of the 80s night!
A brand new The Comedy Tent will feature some of the biggest names in comedy along with up and coming performers will be presented in a 1,500 capacity ‘Big Top’ hosted by Park View for You.
To add to this, there will be a mix of outdoor cinema, acoustic stages, traditional Jazz venues, Literary Lunches and things for all the family to enjoy. Making Lytham Festival 2015, not one to be missed.
Just announced - Friday 7th August welcomes the leg warmers, fluoro and sounds of both the 80s and 90s. Billy Ocean, Chesney Hawkes, Jimmy Sommerville, East 17, Sinitta, 5ive and Vengaboys will all take to the stage offering a trip down memory lane for many, expect a flashback to school disco days.
Sunday 9th August indulges the inner thespian via the theme of ‘Songs from Stage and Screen’. Two celebrated artists who are no strangers to the boards, Wet Wet Wet singer Marti Pellow and singer/actress Elaine Paige OBE will bring favourites from the West End and Broadway to life, backed by the superb Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
1940s Wartime Festival 15th/16th August - 2015 A must for all the family. Come and join in the atmosphere and immerse yourself in heritage, entertainment, re-enactment and have-a-go fun.
