What is the connection between the RNLI Flag Day and Lytham & St Annes…..  the entire crew of the St Annes Lifeboat ‘Laura Janet’ lost their lives assisting in the rescue of the Barque Mexico of Hamburg.  It was this disaster that instigated RNLI Saturday.
