Taste Lancashire 2010

Lancashire continues to celebrate the local distinctiveness and quality of the county’s food and drink.

Taste Lancashire accreditation scheme

Taste Lancashire is a quality award scheme for eating establishments, one of the first of its kind in the country, co-ordinated by Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board and Quality in Tourism. The partnership has developed this scheme to give acknowledgement to those establishments who provide a consistently high quality eating experience along with a commitment to the use of local produce. The award is carried out annually and any type of eating establishment can apply in order to gain its own merit. Businesses undergo an assessment and are marked against quality criteria according to the type of eating establishment. With the emphasis firmly on quality, 2010 will see increased activity in encouraging more places to eat into Taste Lancashire and promoting the scheme to visitors.
