Lytham Proms Festival Weekend 2013

Lytham Proms Festival Weekend is the biggest musical and cultural event in the town and indeed the wider area. The event is held on Lytham Green, next to the iconic windmill and was brought back in 2010 for a one night extravaganza by Cuffe & Taylor.

Friday 2 August 2013 -

‘THE 80’s STRIKES BACK’ bring you some of the 80’s biggest and best loved stars. The show features: Tony Hadley, Jason Donovan, Marc Almond, Heaven 17, Odyssey, Altered Images and Sonya. The new look 80s show is brought to you by Cuffe & Taylor. After the successful 80s night at Lytham Proms Festival Weekend 2012, Fylde’s biggest party is back and bigger than ever.

Accompanied by a live band, seven iconic 80s acts take to the stage to perform some of their biggest hits. So dust off the leg warmers and get ready to enjoy an evening of nonstop 80s classics.

Saturday 3 August 2013

Russell Watson is the UK’s best-selling classical artist, selling in excess of seven million albums worldwide. The ‘Last Night of The Proms’ style concert - or as it has been affectionately dubbed by locals as ‘The Proms’- will be held on the Saturday night and Russell will take to the stage to perform alongside his special guest, and a 32 piece orchestra. Jonathan and Charlotte, the classical singing sensations who shot to fame in 2012’s Britain’s Got Talent, will delight the crowds on the Saturday evening alongside Russell Watson. They performed in front of an audience of 14 million, and ultimately in front of Her Majesty the Queen, at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
