Carnival to raise funds for local charities. Floats, procession, Crowning of Rose Queen in Ashton Gardens at approx 1pm. Parade in the morning, stalls and entertainment in Ashton Gardens.
Start at St Leonards along Clifton Drive and through the Square, over the Crescent and up St Annes Road East. Right onto Church Road, back down St Albans, right onto St Davids, left into the Crescent, left into St Andrews Road South, down Wood St and then right onto Clifton Drive finishes back where they started. Form up from 9am, parade starts at 10.30.
Saturday: 9.30am Assembly, 9.45am Judging of Procession, 10am Cloggers, Morris Dancers in The Square, 10.30am Procession moves off
11am Judging of Ashton Gardens Competitions, 11.45am Procession ends ,
Ashton Gardens - 12noon Cloggers & Morris Dancers in Ashton Gardens, 12.30pm Oldham Scottish Pipe Band in Ashton Gardens,
1pm Arrival of Civic Party and Carnival Committee, 2pm Petite Acting Academy, 2.20pm Brindle Band, 3pm Clifton Dance Academy,
3.20pm Mayfield School Choir, 3.45pm YMCA Sports Acro, 4pm Peter Anthony, 4.30pm Heather Dee - Abba Tribute, 5pm Happy Daize Band
Sunday 10am St Annes Carnival 1500m Fun Run, 11am St Annes Carnival 5K, Ashton Gardens events expect to run from 11am to 5pm.
