The Taste Lancashire accreditation scheme
Taste Lancashire is a quality award scheme for eating establishments, co-ordinated by Quality in Tourism and Marketing Lancashire (the county's tourist board).
Thescheme was developed to give acknowledgement to those establishments who provide a consistently high quality eating experience along with a strong commitment to the use of local produce. The mystery shopper assessment is carried out annually and any type of eating establishment can apply to be part of the scheme which is designed to continually improve standards.
Businesses undergo a mystery dining assessment and are marked against criteria covering areas such as cleanliness, welcome and customer service and use of local produce.
